About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Nokia Microwave Wavence / UBT / E-Band Solution Experts to support the deployment, configuration, and integration of Nokia Wavence microwave solutions across sites in the Southwest USA. This hands-on role involves end-to-end Wavence UBT-T, UBT-m, UBT-Twin link setup, connectivity through wireless routers, and seamless integration with Nokia Network Management System (NMS) / NSP.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and commission Nokia Wavence UBT radios (UBT-T, UBT-m, UBT-XP) microwave solutions on-site.
  • Establish wireless connectivity and link microwave units to network routers / IP backhaul.
  • Integrate and register Wavence microwave nodes into Nokia NMS / NetAct / NSP platforms.
  • Perform field visits for installation, alignment, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Validate link performance (XPIC, Carrier Aggregation, high-capacity E-Band) in collaboration with network operations teams.
  • Maintain clear documentation for all setup and integration activities.
  • Resolve field-level hardware, software, and configuration issues independently.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Nokia Wavence UBT, MSS (Microwave Service Switch), and microwave backhaul deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of microwave configuration, commissioning, integration, alignment, and packet radio backhaul.
  • Experience linking Nokia Wavence microwave paths through wireless routers to NMS.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple field sites / cell sites.
  • Excellent hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel across Southwest USA.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with Nokia Wavence rollout, upgrade, or 9500 MPR to Wavence migration projects.
  • Familiarity with Nokia NMS tools, NetAct, NSP, and Wavence field integration best practices.
