Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Telecom Construction Manager to join our team and support field operations across Alaska. This position focuses on managing telecom site facilities, power systems, and infrastructure, ensuring construction, upgrades, and maintenance activities are delivered safely, to a high standard of quality, and on schedule—even in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage on-site construction, upgrade, and maintenance activities for telecom facilities and power infrastructure.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of power systems, including generators, rectifiers, batteries, grounding, and fuel systems.
- Conduct site walks to assess readiness, facility conditions, and power system performance.
- Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Review and redline construction drawings, power layouts, and facility designs to ensure build accuracy.
- Coordinate with utilities, landlords, local authorities, and suppliers to resolve site access, power, and infrastructure issues.
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience supporting engineering work in telecom, utilities, building infrastructure, or field-based technical environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience managing telecom sites in Alaska or similar remote, extreme-weather locations.
- Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, electrical power, basic control systems) and power distribution or backup power systems.
- Strong knowledge of telecom shelters, DC power systems, grounding, and civil infrastructure.
- Any professional engineering certification preferred.
- Must be Alaska-based and a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
