About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Telecom Design Engineer to support telecom network design and delivery projects. The role involves preparing and reviewing site designs, drawings, and documentation to meet client specifications and industry standards. You will work closely with project teams, providing technical input and ensuring designs are accurate, compliant, and ready for implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review site design drawings including layouts, schematics, GA, As-Built, and related documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with telecom standards, health & safety requirements, and client guidelines.
- Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and construction teams to resolve design queries.
- Support in design approvals, document control, and quality checks.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide technical input on design optimisation and cost-effective solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications / Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
- 8+ years of telecom design experience (mobile networks).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and design/documentation tools.
- Understanding of telecom infrastructure (towers, shelters, power, fibre, transmission).
- Strong attention to detail with ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills in English to coordinate with project teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with UK telecom design standards and approvals.
- Experience supporting mobile network rollout and upgrade projects.
