Nokia Resident Engineer (RAN / BTS Expert)

Location: Onsite in Oakbrook, IL | Multiple Positions

About the Role:

 We are hiring Nokia RAN Resident Engineers with proven expertise in AirScale and FlexiZone BTS (indoor and outdoor). This role involves supporting daily RAN operations, troubleshooting, upgrades, and integration activities onsite in Oakbrook, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the initial point of contact for BTS/RAN issues, resolving faults before escalation to Nokia Care.
• Perform and support RAN upgrades, BTS migrations, and change implementations.
• Draft and validate Method of Procedures (MOPs) and participate in ORT/ATP.
• Document incidents, prepare KPI/performance reports, and maintain accurate RAN configuration/change records.
• Direct and coordinate contractors and BSS engineers during installation and integration.
• Assist in RAN product rollouts and feature validation.

Requirements:

• Exclusive RAN focus – must have Nokia RAN O&M experience (Core-only experience will not be considered).
• Hands-on O&M expertise with Nokia AirScale and FlexiZone BTS (indoor and outdoor).
• Recent Nokia RAN experience (within the last 2 years) is mandatory.
• Skilled in BTS Element Manager (Web UI, Site Manager, CLI).
• Proficient with Nokia troubleshooting tools: Emil toolkit, DCAP, UTF, 5G toolkit.
• Experienced in Nokia OSS (Mantray) applications: CM Operation Manager, CM Editor, Workflow, Software Manager, Monitor.
• Familiar with Nokia Discovery Documentation Center.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Must have proper authorization to work in the USA (US Citizen or GC holder).
