Telecom Civil/TE BOQ Expert

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to ensure the successful delivery of projects within the UK Telecom market. This role requires strong expertise in handling BOM (Bill of Material)/BOQ (Bill of Quantities) commercials, change order management, and final BOM/BOQ submissions upon project completion, while ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure efficient resource allocation and project delivery within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Detailed Commercial BOQ/BOM based on DED/MR/SMR, including service charges.
• Review and reconcile final cost at Build completion, ensuring financial accuracy.
• Track change orders/change request upon site completion and submission to client.
• Monitor project expenses and conduct P&L analysis to ensure project profitability.
• Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders and recommend strategies for cost optimisation.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Adhere to cybersecurity best practices, ensuring the secure handling of sensitive project data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Telecom, Civil, Construction Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in the telecom sector.
• Strong knowledge of TSSR/LLD/DBOQ & SID.
• Proficiency in cost estimation, budget management, and final account reconciliation upon site completion.
• Strong experience in change order tracking, P&L analysis, and project financial reporting.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and cost management systems.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex project data.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the telecom industry.
